TOUR OF THE GREAT SOUTH COAST Cycling Race

26 - 30 July 2017

National Road Series to return to the District Council of Grant.

Riders will contest the Tour of the Great South Coast which will run in July 2017; riders will be confronted by a challenging two-state, which will provide a true test of their all-round abilities.

The 565km eight-stage tour will see riders race within the District Council of Grant with a majestic 137km road race starting and finishing in Port MacDonnell on Thursday 27 July.

The District Council of Grant stage has been included since the 2014 Tour and teams are excited at the prospect of returning in 2017.  Council welcome the opportunity to be closely connected to an event which is on an upward spiral on the Australian road cycling calendar.

It is expected that about 20 teams from all Australian states, Malaysia and New Zealand will line up in the tour. It promises to be a wonderful spectacle.

The event is a key race on Cycling Australia’s Subaru National Road Series calendar and is backed by the City of Mount Gambier and the District Council of Grant in South Australia, and the Glenelg Shire Council in Victoria.
